Jon Haubert is the Founder & Managing Partner of H.B. Legacy Media Co. He has more than thirteen years of government and public affairs experience in congressional and communications strategies, with an emphasis in western energy and environmental policy issues. 

He owns H.B. Legacy Media Co., which is designed to tackle complex and difficult-to-message topics.In 2013, Jon helped launch Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development (CRED), the largest public education effort in Colorado’s history aimed exclusively at informing the general public about the energy, economic and environmental benefits of safe and responsible oil and natural gas development. In that capacity, Jon oversaw all messaging, earned media and communications strategies for CRED’s public education effort, as well as serving as the official press contact and spokesman. 

Prior to CRED, Jon was the manager of communications for Western Energy Alliance, a nonprofit trade association representing more than 430 member companies engaged in all aspects of exploration and production of oil and natural gas in the West.

Jon also served as a Congressional aide and senior staff member to Congressman Richard W. Pombo, former Chairman of the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee. Jon was a principal liaison for Chairman Pombo to the White House, Members of Congress, agency staff, foreign dignitaries, and constituent groups. 

He has fielded thousands of media inquiries, managed focus groups, message testing and national poll/surveys in the United States. He has written hundreds of guest commentaries, press releases, newsletters, and action alerts for all types of organizations and third-party advocate groups. 

His work has appeared in the Associated Press, Bloomberg, CBS, Denver Post, Energy & Environment News, Fox News, Houston Chronicle, Los Angeles Times Oil & Gas Journal, Politico, National Journal, NPR, Salt Lake Tribune, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post.
